Asparagus Seedlings - Growing Media Application Rate 20% Biogreen Peat to mix. Result Stronger top growth (fronds). Greater ability to withstand transplanting. Stronger root system and early development. Increased the number of plants suitable for sale by 18%. |

Carrots, Irymple and Wemen, Victoria Application Rate 5m3 Biogreen Peat / ha Result Higher yield. Healthier colour. Size improvement of 10-15%. Increased diameter by up to 73%. Faster emergence rate of carrots. Sugar content increased by 5-10%. The results would lead to a significant economic return for growers growing for the fresh export or fresh domestic markets. |

Cauliflowers, Victoria Application Rate 5m3 Biogreen Peat / ha Result Earlier harvest. No boron deficiency. Cauliflowers head size and weight increased by 50%. Only half the standard fertiliser application rate necessary. Produced an impressive weight increase per acre of 7.069kg. |

Lettuce, Victoria Application Rate 1L / m2 of soil Result Earlier harvest. Less weight variation. Increased head size and weight. |
Sweet Corn, Irymple and Wemen, Victoria Application Rate 5m3 Biogreen Peat / ha Result Increase in weight up to 56%. The number of cobs increased by 11% - 15%. With an increase in growth of the corn earlier on, farmers are able to establish plants much faster in the fields soon after planting. |

Olives, Anakie, Victoria Application Rate 1L Biogreen Peat per planting Result Higher yield. More rapid growth. Added branching, supported by a larger diameter trunk. The application of up to one 1L Biogreen Peat per tree results in a 20% increase in income or $13.00 per tree p.a. The application will result in a stronger and better yielding tree. |
Almonds, Wemen, Victoria Application Rate 1L per tree Result Height increase of 33% Over double the trunk diameter. The trees have more nuts and greater new shoot and root development. |

Garlic, Mildura, Victoria Application Rate 2m3 / acre Result Clove size increased from 60% to 90%. Standard garlic harvests yield a size ratio of about 50-60% large, with the remainder being split more or less evenly between medium and small. The use of Biogreen peat improved this yield considerably to approximately 90% large, 5% small and 5% medium. This increase is of clear advantage to growers, enabling them to command both a better price, and buyer preference. |

Bonnar Rape Trial, Darling, West Victoria Application Rate 5m3 / ha Result Larger and more robust plants. 50% less superphosphate required. More complex and developed root systems. Greater results in plant density, plant height, number of leaves per plant, average root length, average stem diameter. Plants grown in Biogreen Peat have far more complex and developed root systems, which ultimately enhance a plants establishment, nutrient/water use and productivity/growth. |

Wheat and Canola, Elmore Application Rate 2m2 / acre Result - Wheat Produced an extra 50% more plants and 25% more head. The best outcome in terms of height, head length and the number of plants was obtained when the fertiliser was applied at half the normal rate. Result - Canola 50% less fertiliser required. Increased the plant density by 40%. Increased the height of the canola 40%. Not only is there an economic advantage in using Peat to reduce superphosphate costs but also the amount applied means that less is available for leaching into receiving waters, a major environmental problem in rural Australia at the moment. Biogreen Peat will provide producers with a substantial commercial advantage by simultaneously increasing productivity and reducing costs. |

| Mushroom Casing | ||||||||||||||
Mushrooms Application Rate 20% - 70% Biogreen Peat to casing mix. Result Cost saving. Water use saving by up to 50%. Increased yield in second and third flushes. Biogreen Peats' high water holding capacity means that water requirements can be reduced by up to 50%. This represents labour/time and cost savings. Water reduction enables a more efficient regulation of the relative humidity in growing rooms. Management of humidity is a key factor with respect to ultimate mushroom quality and yield. The less watering time labour required, the fewer unnecessary entries in to the growing rooms and the less likelihood of contamination. Biogreen Peat delivers productivity gains in respect of managing the growing process. |

Sultana and Gordo Grape Varieties, Wemen, Victoria Application Rate 3m3 Biogreen Peat / ha Result 25% increase in fruit yield, increased scinter growth. Increased number of canes. Juicier fruit and increased foliage. |
Merlot, Renmark, South Australia Application Rate 3m3 Biogreen Peat / ha Result Plants very rigorous. Greater cane growth. |

Red Globe and Dogwood Stock, Grape Grafting, Retail Nursery Application Rate 30% Biogreen Peat to the mix. Result Increased plant vigour. Larger scinter diameter. Stronger and more developed root system. Greater ability to withstand in field transplanting. Once planted in the field, plant establishment will be faster due to the critical increased root mass attained through the addition of Biogreen Peat to the propagation mix. In this industry the predominant issue that determines the success of the graftling is the quality of the scinter (the more mature wood which has hardened off). The trial showed that the addition of Biogreen Peat produced better scinter. |
