Biogreen's unique 6-in-1 Premium Potting Mix is an advanced and versatile formula that
has been designed for use for up to six different applications for the home gardener.
The base medium of the potting mix is Biogreen’s organically certified reed sedge peat
which is high in organic matter, retains plant essential nutrients and has a very high
water holding capacity all of these characteristics assist healthy plant growth.
The peat base is supplemented with Biogreen’s Superior Boost fertiliser providing your
plants with up to three months of essential nutrients. Biogreen’s Premium Potting Mix
guarantees greener, healthier and more vigorous lawns, plants, flowers, trees and shrubs,
with better colour and heavier, sweeter fruit.
Benefits
- CONSERVES WATER - Biogreen’s reed sedge peat can retain greater than 150% its
weight in water, saving watering requirements by up to 60% compared to other potting mixes.
- PROMOTES ROOT GROWTH & SOIL STRUCTURE- Peat hold nutrients in the matrix providing
an excellent porous and nutrient rich environment for root development. Also, Biogreen’s

Superior Boost to provide plants with required plant nutrients.

How to use Biogreen 6-in-1 Potting Mix to Make Gardening Easier
POTTING & PLANTING
Fill your pot with several inches of Biogreen 6-in-1 Potting Mix. Pat down.
Centre the root ball in the pot and fill around with potting mix. Pat down gently
but firmly around the plant and water thoroughly. Replenish Superior Boost at a rate
of 5g/L of potting mix after 2-3 months.
MULCH
Spread 5cm layer of Biogreen 6-in-1 onto garden beds and around shrubs to
greatly reduce water usage and smother weed populations.
Keeping your garden mulched will improve the condition of your soil.
GARDEN MIX
A complete garden mix that is suitable for all types of trees, shrubs & natives.
For garden beds spread evenly across the surface and incorporate.
For trees and shrubs incorporate Biogreen 6-in-1 deep into the planting hole where developing roots can grow into it.
SOIL & COMPOST BUILDER
Soil Builder ~ Biogreen 6-in-1 is suitable to build and improve all soil types,
including loam, clay, and sand. It can be used as a clay breaker, and improves
organic matter content of sandy soils resulting in improved water and nutrient retention.
Making Compost ~ Blend 1/3 Biogreen 6-in-1 with 2/3 composted garden materials
and add a layer of Biogreen 6-in-1™ on top to help control odour.
LAWNS
Ideal for top dressing existing lawns, as an underlay for new lawns, and for
filling in patches and leveling low areas in lawn repair.
For top-dressing lawns use 1-2 litres Biogreen 6-in-1 per square metre.
For new lawns apply prior to sodding or seeding. For lawn patch repair,
rake or dig into soil and then seed.
PROPAGATING SEED RAISING & CUTTINGS
Suitable for striking cuttings and seed raising. Biogreen 6-in-1 is a natural medium
with improved nutrient and water holding capacity, enabling you to strike and grow
greener healthy seedlings. Seed can be raised in plastic seed raising trays, foam
fruit boxes, or simply egg carton cells, (all of these must have a hole punched into the bottom for drainage).
The seed needs moisture to expand and make the coating break away, to allow the seed to
begin breathing. Seeds need to absorb 40% - 60% of their weight in water to activate germination.
How do you know if your plants need repotting?
These are the signs to look for:
- Roots growing from drainage holes
- Wilting or yellowing leaves
- Little or no new growth
What sort of light is required for indoor plant success?
Locate Indoor plants in a location with bright, indirect sunlight.
How often should you water?
Too much or too little watering often causes plant failure.
For best results, water houseplants only when the soil is slightly dry to the touch.
